1. What is Synergy App & Services?

Synergy Apps can be granted permission to use certain MSU features, allowing Maplers to take advantage of useful functions within those apps. For example, an exchange-related service app may request permission to access MSU Marketplace search functionality. When a Synergy App requests permissions, the list of requested permissions is displayed on the consent screen. Maplers can choose to allow or deny each permission. To grant access permissions to a Synergy App or service, you must be logged in to MSU. If your MSU account is deleted, all associated Synergy App connections will also be removed. Deleting a Synergy App account does not affect your MSU account.

1.1. Allowing Permissions

  • How to Allow Permissions
    • When a permission request page appears for a Synergy App or service, carefully review the request to understand what information and permissions are being requested.
    • Approve the request to grant the Synergy App or service access to your information or features.
Important
  • Exercise caution when allowing permissions for services developed by companies or developers other than MSU. Only grant permissions to services you trust.

  • Allowing ‘Asset Access Permission’ in a Synergy App or service may compromise your account security. Always exercise caution when granting permissions, whether on screens provided by MSU or any other screen.
  • Scope of Access for Synergy Apps and Services
    • Synergy Apps and services can only access the data and permissions you have allowed.
    • For example, if you grant a Synergy App permission to search MSU Marketplace, the app will only be able to search MSU Marketplace.
    • For example, if you grant a Synergy App enhancement permission, the app will be able to enhance your items using the Power Crystals held in your account.

1.2. Managing Permissions

  • The list of permissions you have granted can be viewed at any time under Synergy App & Services in your MSU account settings.
  • Permissions granted to a Synergy App can be revoked at any time.
  • Revoking a permission does not remove any features already used or data already stored by the app during the period when the permission was active. For more details, refer to the privacy policy of the relevant Synergy App.

2. Allow MSU Asset Access Permission

2.1. Settings

  • Allow MSU Asset Access Permission: You can toggle between Allowed and Not Allowed.
  • Granting access enables full use of the following MapleStory Universe service:
  • MapleStory N: On-chain actions like item enhancement and minting
  • MSU Marketplace: Trading items and characters
  • Swap & Warp: NESO <-> NXPC swapping and bridging services
  • If set to Not Allowed, these features will be inaccessible.
